Our Principal is a Medical Doctor, a specialist family Physician who has worked for over 20 years in the public and private sectors. He is also a law graduate (LLB) with a masters degree in Medical Law and Ethics. Being a specialist family physician his training cuts across the major fields of medicine, and having worked closely and extensively with most other medical specialists he is strategically equipped to bridge the gap of medicine and law, He is ably assisted by attorneys with huge interest in Medical law and other medical specialist doctors (Anesthetics, Orthopedic surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Pediatricians, Radiologist, Oncologist and a host of other specialists) who offer their services on a part time basis.

We provide legal representation in disciplinary hearings for doctors and all other healthcare professionals at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
We query and get the HPCSA to reverse adverse letters of Standing for healthcare workers
Medical aid companies occasionally withhold funds due to healthcare workers for varied reasons, we assist in retrieving theses funds
We provide legal Representation for healthcare workers when they have to meet with medical aids especially over allegations made by the medical aid companies or patients against them.
Doctors are often accused of malpractice or negligence by patients or their family members, we on behalf of our doctors enter into mediation with the patient and their families to as much as possible keep the matters out of court
Mediating for doctors with the medical indemnity companies and insurance companies
We provide immediate advice to healthcare professionals in emergency medical legal situations.
Participating in alternate dispute resolution (ADR) for our clients (healthcare workers) with patients, lawyers or insurance companies.

The public hospitals in South Africa bear the greatest burden of medical malpractice claims because of a myriad of factors, ranging from staff shortage, difficult conditions at work and an enormous workload, at PMLG we are still able to factor all the above and help our hospitals sieve out frivolous claims and advise accordingly on which cases to settle out of court and also assist in mediation talks for settlement, getting the cheapest possible settlement costs for the hospitals.
